Where to Find Bargain Flights

An aerial view of LaGuardia Airport

One of the biggest obstacles for people who want to travel is the astronomical cost of airfare. Many people don’t know where to find bargain flights, so they either choose driving (even if it means driving for 11 hours straight) or staying at home. Sometimes driving is not possible (as in our case when we travel overseas to see my family) and staying home is not always the best option. Thankfully, there are many places which offer cheap bargain flights. My favorite one is Priceline.

If you haven’t checked it already and are looking for the best bargain flights, I strongly recommend you check Priceline. You can save up to 40% on flights, 50% on hotels and up to 30% on car rentals with these guys.

There are two ways to get bargain flights tickets through Priceline.

One way is to choose your flight and times and then select the lowest price possible from a list.

Another way is actually pretty neat, because you can name your own price when choosing a flight. With this option you can get the best deals on airfare, however you need to be a little flexible with your travel schedule.

If you choose the second option, all you need to do is select the airports you would like to fly from and to. You should select a few airports that work for your travel plans to increase your chances of getting a ticket. For example if you are looking for flights from USA, let’s say NYC, you may want to put JFK, LaGuardia etc as your options.

no one deals like we do!

Then you enter the dollar amount you want to offer for your trip and click “Next”. Be realistic. Don’t enter 10 bucks if you are planning to fly across the country.

You’ll get your answer in 60 seconds or less. I am not aware of any other website offering this option.

Due to the low prices that Priceline offers, their tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable (which is pretty common for all sites which offer bargain flights), so it is a good idea to plan your trip well.
