Frugal Tips

Frugal tips for all. Simple ways to save and earn.

Before I came to the United States I wore sneakers only to a gym. Actually, I would only wear them AT a gym, because they seemed way too unfeminine and ugly to walk on the streets in. I had to reconsider my fashion choices and hide my stiletto heels when I moved to the U.S. and had kids. I didn’t want to wear Wal-Mart unattractive and cheap sneakers and I wasn’t going to spend hundreds of bucks on just as unattractive brand name ones either. Skechers became an answer to my prayers.

Skechers allowed me to be comfortable while carrying my kids around without compromising my style too much.

I have to warn you, that they can be kind of pricey and even though their quality is outstanding, I NEVER pay full price for anything. I was able to find quite a few cheap sneakers and a pair of awesome boots for about $20-$30 each.

Skechers also sell dress shoes, kids shoes and even clothing. I never bought clothing from them though, so I cannot tell you about the quality or how it fits.

At least every month Skechers have 30-40% sales on their shoes. Shipping is free, but you need to join their VIP club. Don’t worry, because this is painless and free as well. It is just a fancy name. All it means is that you are going to be on their mailing list (which is a good thing because they always notify you when they have sales) and will always have free shipping.

Their returns are not free, which sucks, but thankfully their shoe sizes are pretty consistent and everything fits true to size.

In addition to their sales, Skechers also have coupons once in awhile. Here is the latest coupon that I found. It will save you $10 off $50. Coupon code : SRWEB (expires 6/15/09). To use it, go to Skechers.com and enter it when checking out.

Happy shopping!
