Frugal Tips

Frugal tips for all. Simple ways to save and earn.

Many people mistakenly assume that if the organization they are seeking debt help from is Christian, they are at a lesser risk of being scammed. Unfortunately, the fact that the organization calls itself Christian, doesn’t mean that it is Christian at all.

Scammers have learned that people tend to trust religious organizations, so they started to label their bogus organizations as Christian.

The best way to find Christian debt help is to ask your pastor or your congregation for some recommendations. You may get lucky and find someone in your church who will be willing to help you for free.

If you decide to search for Christian debt elimination help online, here are some tips to keep in mind:

If the offer seems too good to be true, it probably is. Scam artists know which buttons to push and they rely on people’s impatience. They promise to help you get rid of your debt fast and without too much effort. The truth is, there is no legal shortcut to get out of debt and if someone is offering you one, stay away.

If you found an organization which appears to be Christian, see if you can find their contact information online and give them a call. If the organization is legitimate, they should have a phone number with normal office hours listed. If they don’t, it should definitely raise a flag.

Even if you are 100% sure the organization is legitimate, check BBB anyway.

Scammers can seem very professional if they want to, so don’t let them fool you.

Do your research before making any important decisions and check the validity of any financial services the organization is offering.

Don’t pay any money until you are sure that the organization is legitimate and the people are really trying to help you and not rip you off.
